I agree that gastritis is different for everyone. If you have been on here long and read the posts everyone has different symptoms and pain. I'm wondering if I can get off this latest drug now. That would be good. Thanks for commenting. Littemart, I'm sorry that your having such a hard time with your digestive tract. I've been sick 18 years, but the digestive problems have been the diseases that just stop me in my tract. Time for bed and a heating pad usually, multiple times a day.

mobeen this could be reflux rather than gastritis, I have both and the chest pains and odd heart beats/racing are usually caused by the reflux rather than the gastritis.

I think reflux is actually quite common with gastritis because we unconsciously put more pressure on our stomach to ease the pain, which pushes contents upwards. A lot of people dont get many symptoms from it though.

If you had an ECG and echo 2 months ago then unless you're 90 years old you're fine and dont need to worry about it.

My understanding is it travels up your esophagus into your throat and sometimes mouth. I've had reflux now for 38 years. I went to the doctor because I thought I was having a heart attack in my late 20's. It was just too much stress and MEDS for migraines causing a lot of acid.

I have also tried the google, but as you and other's said, it's different for everyone. I have chronic severe Gastritis, and i have the worst attack's, and yes my heart start's and i feel like having heart attack or something, but mine is from vomiting, dehydration, etc. I also have had all the test's heart, gallbladder, the work's and all they found was severe chronic Gastritis, maybe erosive from the vomiting, which is so bad for you.
I also take ranitadine. 2 times a day.
I also have severe depression/anxiety so i think at least some of the heart thing at least for me if maybe a big giant panic attack.
Also some meds can make you very nauseous, wish i could spell. Spell check doesn't want to recognize med spelling. Sorry.

Mobeen, I still have acid reflux at times even though my gastritis is almost gone. Too many drugs for my stomach to handle. At one point I was on 22 prescriptions daily to stay alive. I'm now down to about 11. But I have to take steroids everyday, multiple times and that has really torn up my stomach after 18 years. But if I go off the steroids I'll die in 5-7 days, they keep me alive. So I am eating the bland diet, feeling better. But for me I don't think it will ever be completely gone because of my meds.

I am sorry to hear that. What doctors diagnosed you?

After 2 weeks i felt my heart beat a bit fast. Dont know wht is the reason.

My GI doctor diagnosed me, I've had 3 endoscopes this year.

Things will be better soon
