Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

GI specialists don't believe bland?

All of GI specialists that I've met said me that bland diet is not necessary for gastritis or ulcers. If you have damaged esophagus, then avoid spicey things, alcohol, cigarette and citrus but we know that gastritis/ulcer sufferers do not need bland diet. Even GI professors said me that.

What do you think?

Only reflux sufferers need a diet but it is not even playing a big role.

You are very stubborn.You ask questions and when we answer them you keep questioning every single thing.Why don't you just stick to your own answers.You don't need this group because you know everything better.Obviously anxiety plays a HUGE role in gastritis as well as any other health issue one may have.This is nothing new and everyone knows that.Theres also clearly brain-gut connection because basically all the serotonin is made in the gut.Theres lost of scientific literature on that.
To sum up, follow your own intuition and do what you believe is right.If your diet suits you then keep it up but also let others do what they believe is right for them.Most important try to enjoy whatever it is your doing.Life is short so lets try not to waste time on stupid pointless arguments.

I'm tending to agree with you that it is not the food you are eating but the anxiety that is causing your issues. It could be very productive for you to seek therapy for your anxiety. Good luck!
