Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
So please don't believe the propaganda of the "bad drug".
i tried ppi a few months ago and i almost commit suicide the aftermath was horrendous and still recovering frrom it. it weakened my les to the point the acid was going to my lungs and i couldnt even breathe without getting pain in the esophagus, it gave me esophagitis too.
i had to take very small breathes. It also weakened my bones so i broke a rib because i slept propped up, my rib is forever displaced and thank god it no longer bother me. my les is still recovering i can sleep lying down without getting reflux, its still weakened though but not as bad as before.
ppi are just too efficient, taking away all the acid frrom the stomach is like taking away all the blood frrom the heart plus shutting down the parietal cells in the stomach permanently changes the structure of your stomach, its good short term but more than aa month is bad imo, well it was for me.
"For daily marijuana users seeking relief from nausea, doctors now say that using too much for too long can have the opposite effect in rare cases "
- Wow in rare cases some side effects. If you're drinking too much water you're getting side effects in rare cases. If you're eating too much bananas you're getting side effects in rare cases.
OF COURSE you're getting problems if you abuse marijuana. But we are talking here about medical marijuana from medical strains with low thc and high cbd, used with a vaporizer.
Warning about weed, but taking PPIs that easily is just funny, sorry.
First of all the vice website is basically a tabloid.
I wouldn't take anything they post seriously. It's like
the MTV of the news world, pretty silly.
Second of all that article is about a rare almost allergic
reaction to marijuana. which, we all know is the case for
every single medication a doctor gives anyone.
secondly, the usa today article talks once again about the
effects of THC. and also of rare cases.
third-the article about marijuana related ER visits also shows that 27.1 percent involved nonmedical use of pharmaceuticals.
While 21.2 percent was from illicit drugs. of which marijuana
was no more than half. So then doctor prescribed medication
was much worse than marijuana. So then why is there a problem
with people using marijuana instead of the medication a
doctor gives us? You say marijauna is a drug. Well let's just
understand what a drug is. Where do you fill your perscriptions? a drug store. It's all drugs. Weed, alcohol,
tylenol, Nexium. It's all drugs.
I think just about everyone on this site knows the dangers
and side effects of the drugs we are given for gastritis.
When you crunch the numbers, and do a little research, I
think marijuana is a very safe and effective alternative.
Then when you think about drug related deaths, it really
becomes and eye opener. Noone ever tried to kill themselves
by smoking pot and died. But there are many succesful suicides
involving over the counter pills. So Tylenol can kill you..but
marijuana can't? But marijuana is the big bad wolf?
Hmm let's get our ducks in a row here cause them babies
are gonna get lost on the pond if we don't!
Marijuana actually reduces stomach acid.
Marijuana doesn't cause Gastritis, it's the tobacco when you smoke it.
No, there is NO damage for the brain for adult people.
Again we are talking about not abusing it.
So every sentence of yours is just wrong. Every scientist knows that cannaboids are healing the body, but you seem to that better. Next candidate for the Nobel Prize.
everyone has their own journey with gastritis. what works for some may not work for others.
give amaye a break, she is way younger than most of us here.
I also feel doctors are not too good with the gastritis issue.
gastritis is a hard road for many people and many of us have learned we are all different with how we heal and what works for us. we need to respect that.
I don't want to start a big long 7 year war here so I'll just end it here.
I've made several very good points and they have just been met with un-researched and wild claims. All I know is, if it's okay for doctors to push along the company line and fill everyone up with pills, for anyone to grab a cold beer out of the fridge and watch the hockey game...then it's okay for me to try medical marijuana to heal something that just simply isn't healing! I followed the doctors advice for 2 years now and they have all been useless. So now this is my last resort. I'm going through the proper and legal channels, and if my doctor says no, then I guess I'm right where I am now. So what have I got to lose? If marijuana makes things worse, then I won't continue using it right?
Each to our own and live and let live and someone may benefit from our advice - that is the aim on here. No-one should feel defeated, research is good and healthy. Stop bickering and accept points of view, they are only trying to help you guys.
Regards as always to all G.
But huge problem of accepting wrong facts.
