Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Ive had gastritis for about 7 years now. I have always felt the nausea is the worst in the morning. I started taking the ginger root capsule before bed an it has helped. Might be worth trying.
I found that a PPI, with a stomach coating medication helped a lot. I still had to use an anti-nausea medication once in awhile, but overall it helped a lot. Most of all, the RIGHT PPI can make a BIG difference. Watch you stress level as well, as much as possible, especially when nausea is an issue. The two tend to go hand-in-hand since inflammation is the primary cause in most gastritis cases for nausea.
Hang in there and good luck. Hope you begin to feel better soon!
ravinfish, gave a little chuckle as it's easy to say to cut down the stress, but unfortunately I'm a mom of two young kinds and have a very stressful job with my position and situation at the moment. Tough but when reality comes to it, it's out of my control. But I do take my stomach serious and ensure that I bring the right lunch to work (etc).
