Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Total weight lost to date: 47 pounds... so... that comes out to an average of around 3 pounds per week (2.9375 to be precise). And if you maintained that same average for say, 1 year, your total weight lost would be.... 152 pounds.
That seems to me like an extraordinary weight loss over a 1 year period; I guess I'm not sure why you disagree - I would say you are doing very well!
I'll just add this... the day after you reach your goal weight guess what... no finish-line... it's just more of the same.... so concentrate on healthy eating choices, exercise, water, vitamins, head stuff. The only things we ever have control of in this journey.
Best wishes to you!!
Plus you're exercising and muscle weighs more than fat, so you're replacing the fat with muscle. Don't panic. It'll come off.

I can understand where you are coming from. In my first month I lost 34lbs. Then I saw others post how they lost 50lbs+ and was a little discouraged.
I stopped comparing myself to others because we all started at different weights, there are so many variances with the bariatric plans, we all started with different co-morbidities among other factors that can affect our weight.
Not only that but I have gained muscle and my clothes are huge. At times when we are at a hold we are losing inches and Id rather take that than nothing at all.
As long as you are following plan and still losing that is the best you can do. This is not a race but a lifestyle change. Keep in perspective the reasons why you did this.
Best Wishes.
