I found a brown rice pasta today at walmart. wheat free gluten free, and it is a kosher product..
the serving is 2 ounces, but I never ever eat that much, so it will still be one ounce for me...
they promise it can "withstand quite a bit of overcooking". their words, not mine.
their website is www.tinkyada.com or www.ricepasta.com
says they have some receipes there, also.
I am having a little of this pasta, with some diced roasted chicken, red peppers, sweet onions, and mushrooms...when it is all but done, I will add about 1/4 cup of my homemade low-fat alfredo I make, and will call it supper...
and HOPE...this company is located in Ontario, Canada, so it should be available to all my northern friends also...
I am going to try Paris Foods in Sudbury first. I bet they have this. The store is big and stocked to the rafters with stuff like this but I didn't think to look when I was there last. I will specifically request the brand name. If he doesn't have it I bet he can get it. Especially if it's in Northren Ontario : ) TX, Hope
@ Brooklyn, Can I do this with lean pork loin chops? I don't see why not.
@ Patricia, oh S**# you reminded me I have a prime rib roast to deal with too so this is the best recipe to cook it I have found. I will get to it soon http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Restaurant-Style-Prime-Rib-Roast/Detail.aspx
Thats kind of why I thought I could get away with it. Hope
