I have been trying to do more walking in my neighborhood. There are 3 hills that I do. The largest and medium ones I do twice each and the smallest one is in front of my house, I do once. I don't want to be a complainer, especially since I am a light weight, but oh my do my hips hurt! It used to take two days of doing 2 miles for the pain to set in and I would rest for a day or two and they would be better. This week after walking the 2 miles one day, I had to rest. I rested one day, switched to the recumbent bike for a day and tried walking again today. I had to only do a mile today. I know that my body has to adjust to the weight loss, but this is driving me crazy! Any good advice or suggestions on how to make it better long term? I don't really want to go to an ortho. Thanks in advance!

I'd be interested to see what people say about this too. I'm having the same problem. My hips and my upper back are killing me after I walk. I used to be able to walk a lot longer and farther before I had pain. I'm wondering how long it takes your body to adjust to the weight loss. I did buy new running/walking shoes with gel padding on the soles. That seemed to help a little bit.

Have you thought of going to a chiropractor? After loosing weight you body needs to be realigned.

ughh bouvier I too am experiencing this... a couple weeks ago I was at the gym and being a smart arce trying to keep up with my daughter... BIG mistake...I had been doing so well.. walking the treadmill.. or the lake.. last night was my first attempt to walk around the block.. I managed it.. very slowly.. unfortunately I think it just takes time... and like you I don't want to seek help.. it's manageable..I all ready see enough doctors I'm praying I can get a handle on this on my own.. LOL Best wishes :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
