Currently i take the following:
2 mulit, morning and night
2 calcium, one hour after mulit(they dont obsorb right after multi)
2B12 same time as calcium
iron pill, if i have to.
I suggest you stay on top of the vitamins. dont know if you saw my post about my numbness issue, all thanks to me not taking my vitamins. Good luck:)
for vitamens each day I have to take, 1 multivitamen w/ minerals, 6 citrical 500mg for my calcium supplement, 1 virtron-c for my iron supplement, and 1 B12 500mcg. As previously mentioned you have to be careful depending what other medications you take, what you take when on certain ones, as things won't absorb with one and other. I have also started buying the CVS brand on the brand name for these as I get a much better bang for my buck and just as good.
Diane
I also take calcium, but the same company makes a "calcium crystals" which is a fine powder of calcium that you use two small scoops of in the drink of your choice (ie-ice tea or Crystal lite works great). I use two scoops, in a morning drink, and two in the evening to get my calcium in daily.
In spite of being post menopausal, I am taking a prescription iron two times a day also...but I always tended to run a low iron level, which just got worse following GBS. It's fine now, with the iron.
I take fish oil and a flax seed oil cap. once a day and have.
I had my thyroid removed years ago, so take Synthroid...too. The challenge is to allow 2 hours between calcium and thyroid meds., and iron. Definitely want to be clear on your own med. schedule. Check with your doctor or nutritionist to be sure you are on the right page with times.
1000mg calicium a day 500 am 500 pm, B-12 with the calium and iron is to be taken 2 hours from the other vitimins for obsortion.
Then when they take your blood test later they will know if your are low in something.
Try talking to your nutrionist they can help you too.
Thank you all for your input!
