My Dr. Said no gummy. I used flintstone chewables when I was early out but they get yucky after awhile you can get chewable at Walmart pretty cheep I'm not sure about the vitamin d I was told not to take iron unless labs came back bad.

Chewable multi-vit WITH iron is hard to find...I have to do a multi-vit and then an additional chewable iron. I have to do this same thing for my kids. Most multi-vitamins do not have iron...not sure why!! Bariatric Advantage has a capsule multi-vitamin with iron but I don't think they have a chewable...you can open the capsule and put it in yogurt...another idea.

Yes...Vitamin D is D3 and should be taken with your calcium. Vitamin C should be taken with your iron. Iron and calcium should not be taken together.

My NUT recommended Flinstones chewable, 2 a day. They have iron unless you specifically purchase the ones without. D3 is best and is in chewable formulas. I got grape at Stop and Shop. My labs do come back bad in the iron so I am doomed to take liquid iron daily. Really nasty stuff that I shoot down my throat with a dropper. Anything you have trouble getting, ask a pharmacist. They can order most anything for you over the counter even if they don't have it out there. Mine did the iron.

My friend started on flinstones 2x a day but had to switch they weren't absorbing all she needed from them.

I can't do chewable and by the time I started vitamins I was 2 yrs out so I recently discovered a centrum that has a shape and size if I take it with milk gives me no problems ......I take 2 a day I cant afford expensive so I go with sams club and get about 6mths worth for the cost of one month of the more expensive. My doctor likes the too......:) he approved as long as I do 2.

I get food-based vitamins so they don't make me nauseous and they are more bio-available. I also get the mini-tabs so I don't have horse pill sized vitamins. I buy them at www.iHerb.com.

What's the difference between b complex and super b complex?

I think the best vitamins for us are the ones that are made specifically for us. I use "Bariatric Fusion". My blood work all comes back normal and I don't need any other supplements. Typically when you take a chew-able children vitamins, you may also need to take extra iron, extra calcium, extra vitamin B & D. That can add up to extra costs.

My doc recommended the chewable vits from celebratevitamins.com, and they have them with or without iron. I'm taking the one with iron, one less pill to chew...and it's about $20 a month...and less if you buy in bulk...

I take chewable centrum silver twice a day and I get them from Walmart. It does not contain iron. I could not find a chewable iron tablet, so I take tablets and crush them.Vitamin D comes in 2 forms D2 and D3, but D3 is more potent and better for you. My surgeon did not recommend gummy vitamins. I also take a liquid sublingual b12, and caltrate with vit d3 which I was told to start taking at 2 months post op. Good luck. I buy everything at Walmart.
