I started taking antibiotics for my tooth and for the past week I've had all the symptoms of colitis, it is severely painful. Then if that's not enough misery I'm getting a sore throat and runny nose really hope I'm not getting sick, but I'm pretty sure I am. Every time I get sick I get really really sick. As anybody had colitis post op? I can't even take meds for the cold because everything goes through m so fast I wouldn't absorb it.

Are you eating yogurt and taking probiotics to help? I swear by Airborne because it helps my immune system to keep me healthy

If you are on antibiotics, the first thing I think of with intestinal pain is c-diff. It is painful but is also very treatable. It is a result of the natural flora in your intestinal tract becoming offset. Probiots should help some but most people need medicine. Call the doctor. My son always had a problem with this.

Antibiotics are known to cause diarrhea, so could be just that, however, they can cause c-diff as well. Are you weak and nauseated too? That would be a few symptoms. Keep drinking your fluids! Give it a few days and if not better, I'd definitely get checked out. Hang in there

I stop taking the antibiotics. I have bad stomach cramps and fells like there tons of pressure plus diarrhea. I did some reasearch and it says there not alot the dr. xan do so im gonna try to ride it out, hopefully it will get better in a day or two. If it doesnt i will go see the doc. I don't currently take probiotics but ill get some give it a try. thanks for the advice.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
