Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
we have all gone thru it...or will...I still do even after 5 years....I will gain some and think GRRRR....then **poof** all of a sudden it drops back off...its a simple matter of your noggin catching up with the rest of you..it sets itself in survival mode thinking you are starving....so it slows your metabolism way down...soon enough it will figger out you are doing the right thing and will ease up on ya!!
trust me...been there done that !!!

Let me ask... if you quit. What would you be doing? How would you eat? Would you quit exercising?
What would quitting get you? And is that what you want?
My idea: Put the darn scale away!! Have your hubby hide it. Whatever it takes to keep you off of it. The stress worrying about the numbers may be one of the reasons you are not losing...
Stress = body fat hanging on for dear life!
Start paying attention to your body more.
How does it feel after you exercise?
How do you feel when you eat right?
Start paying attention to your mind more.
Are you in a 'happy place" so to speak?
Can you find peace?
Possibly take a ten min meditation everyday.
I believe, once you take your focus off the scale (I know, hard to do!) and onto the bigger picture (You have lost almost 90 lbs in 8 months!), and how you feel better and are living a healthier life, find appreciation in how far you've come... The rest will follow.
Go listen to this... Its only 20 minutes. This man make a very good point (and does so in such a nice way!) that we often hold on to our goals too tightly to ever achieve them...
