This is my last week of condensed summer classes, and the time is flying by! Classes are going well, busy busy, but well. :) I have 2 presentations to give this week, big paper due Thursday, and a comprehensive final in my trauma class that is due Friday as well as a couplel paper responses to write! It is a lot, but I am on top of it all and feel good about the outcomes.

I also am in the midst of taking a GRE prep course that meets Saturdays (this last Sat being the first one).

I have 9 days left till surgery :) I am having butterfly's!! But am excited to be on my way...

I am suppose to start my preop diet Wednesday. I have started today to help me 'recover' from the food funeral I have been going thru.

I am lucky in that my preop diet allows for a small meal at dinner with two protein shakes during the day. Tonight is Tilapia and zucchini, with an orange for desert.

Anyways.... I am thankful I have a busy week ahead of me to help the time pass and to keep my mind from wandering and thinking too much about surgery.

Oh my, I could never handle your schedule, Becca. You do seem on top of things, though. That's great.

I am so excited for you. I'm leaving for vacation on the 17th. I hope to be back in time to bid you a good surgery day. If not, I will be thinking of you and saying a prayer.

It doesn't seem possible your surgery is only 9 days away. I'm sure it has felt like 9 years on some days, but the time sure has gone fast. Don't forget to breathe this week, it sounds like that is all you will have time to do! Best wishes on the prop diet!

You are a very busy person! I remember College days. Was working full time too and had 2 kids and some horses to take care of. Always worn out and sleep deprived! Your surgery will give you time for a much needed and earned rest!
Keep us posted we are all rooting for you and got a spot on the bench with your name on it!

Busy, Busy is right! Those nine days will go so fast, you'll be in the OR before you know it! Thinking of you everyday. I too have homework from a college online course I'm taking this summer to freshen up some of those accounting skills I've lost track of. Keeps me busy too, but not quite as much as you.

Thinking of you everyday and excited for you! You are going to one of the best hospitals around and I already know WE have the BEST surgeon money can buy!!!

Becca, I envy you these end of semester rushes....and yet I am so thankful to be past that point too. I think that being busy will help you with your pre-op diet.

My time flies, well not for you :)seems like a day turns into a week when your this close to surgery. Your gonna do great! And the busy schedule will help keep your mind occupied. Hope your days go fast!!

Becca,

You're going to do great on all of your school and classes! That pre-op diet will go fast, and like they said...You'll all of a sudden be going to the hospital, to continue your journey!

i'm very proud of all the work you've done ,and know you will do wonderfully with the surgery! I will probably be having mine a month behind you, so i'm getting closer too!

Wow, just over a week?! That's great! You are so very prepared for this, you'll do great! Good luck with all of the college stuff in the meantime - it will be a great distraction!
