PSYCHIATRIST APPOINTMENT TODAY

Okay so up until this morning I was okay with today's appointment and I don't know why all of a sudden my nerves just went haywire about talking to a psychiatrist. Maybe because I don't know what questions they will ask or how far into your head they will try to get - so if you can I would appreciate an idea of what kind of questions they ask you - or if they ask you questions at all and just expect you to come in with diarrhea of the mouth. I really don't know what to expect - HELP

Good for you Tami! It is about time we ALL take a minute and do stuff for US and make OURSELVES healthy. I got my surgery date today and am feeling all kinds of emotions...but we have to do what's right for us, not what seems right to someone else, or for someone else's benefit.

It's hard but we can do it, I'm sure we have both gone through tougher things. :)

I am so happy for you - when is your date Bell? Let me say this, even though i am in flip mode emotionally right now my faith in the Lord is strong and I know that he has not brought you this far to leave you so whenever your date is, just know that you will be okay. My prayers go up everyday for all of us and I rejoice each time with all of you when I read about your victories. So prepare yourself to be fabulous girlfriend Blessings, Tam!

Tami, my date is Wednesday February 20th! The prayers and walking in the Lord is what makes me feel comfort during this, because although my family is rooted in Christ, my mom & sister do NOT want this to happen for me.

Another thing that made me feel better was when my surgeon's patient rep talked with me and told me how she prays over my doctor every day and they pray over every patient before going under. There is nothing better than the warmth of Christ centered love and prayers!

Sending them up for all of us here too, and praying He will wrap you in His wings and comfort you, because you are right, He would not lead us astray!!

Mine was a series test done on the computer then I talked to the Doctor. It took about 3 hours. Was not hard. Just be honest, you will do just fine!

Thank you but the test was actually back in January and it all went fine - I am presently waiting for my surgery date - all the preliminary stuff is behind me and I'm ready to start my new life on the loosers bench.

The Psyc was real nice when I went to se her. She asked some simple questions and asked about the past. There were some things I told her I didn't like to think or talk about and she let it go saying there may be issues there. (think?)
It is all for our benifit to see if there is some reason we can't handle this. What's to handle? It's great!
