Pizza and Gold Fish :(

Today was the first day of Fun shine Camp which I look forward to each and every year. Our campers are so full of energy and excitement that it is infectious. But today was the hardest food day I have had. The lunch menu was hot pizza from Pizza Hut, watermelon, and gold fish....three of my most favorite foods in the world.

I did not cheat and I had prepared my own liquids...chicken broth, Yoplait light, s/f jello, Crystal Light, and water. When I got home I ate s/f fudgcicle, more chicken broth, lots of crystal light but the only thing that finally got my mind off food was a nap.

Say a prayer for me...camp ends on Thursday night with the best bbq in NC and more watermelon than a body can eat.

You can totally do this!! You've tasted watermelon and bbq, right? Nothing has chaged. They taste the same...and they will make you sick...whether in the short term(dumping) or in the long-term (obesity). They are not worth the room in your pouch.

You are worth so much more than a 30 second taste-test.

Be strong! Don't let food rule you! I know it's not easy, I've sat in restaurants lately and watched everyone else eat while I sip on water, but it can be done. Think long term, you are working toward the ultimate goal! Weight loss!

Like JJ said, you know what it tastes like, you don't need to try it again.

You are doing fantastic! I am pre op and not on a specific plan yet, just trying to eat better. Unfortunately I made cookies for my sons lunch I need to get them off the counter. I've eaten 5 today! Good thing they're small.

First think about next year when you will be running circles around your campers and will be able to share lunch with them. This part of the journey is tough no doubt about it. I ended up going to bed super early every night in order to be away from food. Pat yourself on the back for still wanting to share this special summer event. This year will continue to be fun despite the absence of food; next year will be absolutely awesome!!! Hang in there....

Thank you all for your support! I did great today. Not only did I NOT get hungry or cravings but I went inside and danced with my dancing buddies (which has always been my thing). We had a blast.

FYI: We have inside and outside activities but I have always led the dancers and yesterday I just didn't have the energy to do it. That is why I am proud. Thursday night we have a live band and my dance card is already full!
