My orientation is next Tuesday, the 6th, and hopefully we can do the surgery the next week or so after that. Got my insurance in-line and the surgery is 100% covered. I am excited, but nervous. I am a food lover, even was an aspiring chef, but after this I just hope any "cravings" go away.

Can't edit my last post. I only mean I hope the cravings go away to the point where I won't be craving something I can't have, and have it bug me all day every day! lol

HI!! you have def come to the right place!! Food cravings Huh? I am 8 weeks out, and I have cravings, Head games I like to call them, and yes, they suck, they HAVE to be delt with, or they will ruin everything you go through. Anyhoo, welcome and keep us posted with your progress, and ask away, so many questions you will come up with. And congratulations on getting your upcoming surgery. :)

Welcome, you won't be sorry. I'm only 1 week post-op, but I joined this group 3 weeks pre-op. My advice is ... read all you can about peoples' experiences here. You might not experience everything here, but likely will have many things in common. Many times over the last few weeks while wondering why I felt a certain way, I'd remember that someone else described the same things. Many many people have walked down this same road. As someone else pointed out, it's not always a "gentle" walk, but you're never alone.
