It will be two months since my surgery (remember I had an 8 inch incision not laparoscopic surgery) on November 6th, I had my RNY done and had some issue's and they turned out not to be as bad as I thought. I do however now have a wound vac on my stomach to heal the incision a lot more quickly. It's been on now for three weeks and is doing a GREAT!! job. It should be off in the next three weeks and I can finally get back into the gym and get back onto my routine of getting my body back into shape.
On a positive note, I have gone from 413 pounds (that was day of surgery) to 356 pounds, that's 57 pounds lost in just under two months. I also went from a size 60 waist to a size 54 and the 54 is very loose. I can't believe I am down this much, before I took this journey I never thought I would ever see 299 pounds as my weight ever again!!! and now I am at 356 and you know what?? 299 is a reality for me now, I can't believe it!!!! I have never been so happy about weight loss before. I am so glad I choose to do this, I feel better, I seem to have a bit more energy (which I am dying to use up in the gym...lol) and the ease of moving around now is just...well?...FANTASTIC!!!!!!
To those of you who have followed my posts, sorry for taking so long to post a new update. To those of you who are new and are thinking of doing this, my advise to you is DO IT!!!! You will not regret it. Gastric Bypass is a tool to help you lose weight, you must do the hard work of retraining yourself to eat properly, to exercise and to stick to the plan, this works and I and thousands of others are living proof. It's not as hard as you may think it is, so don't hesitate go for it, you will be happier for it in the end.

Twarden50, well he didn't really have to cut it open but, he had to make the hole bigger and how he did that was to shove his finger into the hole. Now that would not have been so bad if the hole had not started healing up but, unfortunately for me he did not give me a local to numb be up, he just shoved his little finger (because he could not get his index finger into the hole) into the wound and made it bigger. My butt was doing the butt check crawl up the table trying to get out of there.
All is good now and I am moving on.
Keep going, that 299 will be a memory, if you keep up the positive attitude that you have, and just keep doing what your doing!
