Never got nauseaous at all. I had the patch behind the ear but no Percocet. All the complaint I had was dying from thirst and only getting a thimble of water per hour! I'm sure it was more than that but it felt that bad!
Walk all you feel like and rest a lot. sip the water. You will be feeling better every day now! Congratulations on getting your surgery and welcome to the Loser's Bench!
I didn't take any pain meds when I got home. I also never used my pain button when I was in the hospital. I was uncomfortable but not in any pain. Certainly, you should take the pain med if your in pain. It's difficult to heal when your in pain,
Congratulation!

Don't know how in the heck I'm going to drink all of the water they want me to drink and then a protein shake. Doesn't seem possible.
It will get better every day!
I have to say that reading some of these posts. the people on here are extremely strong.
Congrats on your surgery and wishing you a speedy recovery.
Water is more important than the protein shake. Hot herbal tea calmed my cranky pouch. I couldn't drink anything cold.
I've had a bunch of surgeries and got nauseous for only a couple of them. Sometimes it just gets you.
Sip, sip, walk, walk, rest. Repeat.
WaitSunday as in yesterday??? This is the day after surgery for you?? Oh my lands, lady!! I was in the hospital for 3 days. I still had 2 drains in at this point post-opand I was getting heparin shots every so many hours. You need to make sure you walk every couple hours. The gas they use during surgery usually hurts like a b**** as your body tries to deal with it. My pain was just below my left shoulder blade.
Don't be afraid to take pain meds. It is easier to stay ahead of the pain than to chase it and your body will heal faster if you are relaxed and pain-free.
Welcome to the bench!!

If you had the sleeve, just chuckle at my spazzing out and carry on. :)
