Had Bypass surgery Sunday morning. I wasn't nervous just wanted it over with. Everything went good except I got nauseous. Just before entering the operating room they game me two Percocet's and a patch behind my ear that was suppose to control nausea.. I got very nauseous out of surgery. I think it was from taking Percocet's on a completely empty stomach, They say you don't wake up in pain if they give you that. I woke up nauseous. I don't think was from the anesthesia because I've had a few surgeries and they didn't effect me. About 6pm I started feeling better. I was given a shot to try and help me with the nausea. Other than that I'm home, walking around, just sore. Haven't taken a pain killer yet because I don't need one. I don't know if it's because I still have pain drugs in me from the hospital and I'm going to be in pain later.

Does anyone remember if they took pain meds at home after Bypass?

I was given broth and jello for every meal. Drinking my protein shake now so we'll see.
