Its full of protein and tbe kind i bough has 60calories in 1ounce. Does any one eat jerky?

I eat it at least 4 days a week either as a snack or a meal. It is my go to eat on the run food. The only thing is the sodium is high, so its important to get more than your normal water in for the day.

It's a good one for me! Just watch the sodium and carb counts. Some can be rather high in carbs (sugar, as far as the body's metabolism is concerned!)

yes its excellent!!!...i eat it often...i get the kind thats ground up...you can use it like chewing tobacco ...but ya getta swallow...lol

On another site I saw that even the doc say it's a perfect snack food. I enjoy it and my hubby makes the best on the planet. I need longer then 30 minutes after before water though....it swells a bit.

The brand i bought is very low in carbs and i ate one piece it does swell up alil, i cant eat alot at a time im seven months i can eat about a third of a cup dr says. half a cup to three fourth but i get sick if i eat that much. Thanks for the responces :)

I am 4 years out and still 175 pounds down... I would NEVER eat anything as tough and rough as jerky... yer pouch is tiny and delicate.. Just saying

I am 4 months post op. I make my own jerky from deer. It is high in salt so like someone else said you got to get the water. I am having some water retention issues due to it. I still take some to work every night. I make sure and chew it very well.

We (my pouch and I) LOVE turkey jerky! I have tired beef jerky and I cant handle it, but no issues at all with turkey!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
