Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

Regarding the plateau thingit is very normal to have plateaus on the way down the scale. I was an odd-ballI tracked my weight each day on an excel spreadsheet (still do). I always lost at least 1 lb a week (from surgery to my goal weight). My plan required 3 meals a day with no snacking. When my weight wasn't moving I looked at my protein, water, sleep, and movement. Usually, I was low in one of those areas. If I got less than 8 hours of sleep I didn't lose weight. Period. Sometimes, I did bump up my calories to get the scale moving (by doing something like eating 1/4 of a banana or adding a little yogurt to my shake).
Stick to your plan. Get your required protein, water, and sleep. Move more every day than you did the day before. Your body will eventually get to its healthy weight.
