Thanks and Good Luck!
I could not actually start vitamins until 2 yrs out a month after my revision.......I think every surgeon has his preferences on about everything.........I still am not on calcium because I have a condition called hypercalcemia. I always suggest people go over your labs yourself.......mine have the normal values listed beside them so I question the heck out of ones that show as being even a little off. Mainly because of the calcium being so far off and them having me take it anyway for 2 mths. I have also caught a issue the endocrinologist missed...
I am aware that for many vitamin deficiencies it can take years for it to show up. Even on the labs done, it can be deceiving. I also know that was is considered a normal range, can just depend on what standards a given lab uses... I learned this when I learned about my thyroid issues.
I do know that I will choke the suckers down even if I happen to be one of those people who do not tolerate them well. Just as I will my protein. As far as I am concerned, taking vitamins, drinking water, eating protein.... none of these are optional, they are just things I have to do. :)
