Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
Have you tried cottage cheese, scrambled eggs? I had trouble w/ canned Tuna when I started but could eat grilled tuna fine. Sometimes it's how you prepare it as well. I would only introduce 1 food at a time and go slow.
The first step is the Dr. I struggled w/ the pureed stage but soft foods were easier for me.
good luck
Purred was hard for me too. I couldnt do meats at all. I lived on refried beans withs cheese and a little plain yogurt (like sour cream), cottage cheese, pudding (sf of course) and I purred hard boiled eggs with mayo and mustard like a deviled egg. Protein shakes were hard too no matter what I did, so I had to use isopure low carb clear drinks. Hope u get some relief soon!!!
I haven't had my surgery, but i'm sorry you're going thru this. I hope that mixing it up, and trying something differant that you like, such as the deviled eggs, that it works for ya!!
hang in there. I just talked to a friend of mine that had her surgery a while back, She said ..."It will be hard work, and there will be days you get frustrated, or can't digest certain foods, but keep plugging away, and you will get there!!!
Hugs,
Boo
