This is a really inspiring post that I found and wanted to share with you guys.. this quote has kind of been my mantra since I started the process to have GBS, and it's sooooo true!

Change is a difficult thing. Sometimes, when we decide to change ourselves, our beliefs, and our lives, it feels as though a part of us is dying. So it must be, as we leave the past behind us and set out on a new course and embrace the Now.

It is inevitable when we choose to let go, that we feel as though we are losing ourselves, losing site of who we ARE, yet we are not. We are simply letting go of who we used to be, and doing so, we free ourselves to embrace the endless possibilities of NOW.

What perfect timing! Thank you so much for sharing this! I was just talking with a friend this evening about this. This whole process has been about "letting go of the old" and "embracing the new" for me. I am having the time of my life embracing the endless possibilities of "NOW"! I'm trying all these new things and metamorphosing by shedding the cocoon of fat that I no longer need any more. It truly is a beautiful awakening! I'm going tomorrow for another new experience! Whoo hoo!

The butterfly is a wonderful symbol of transformation. This process is definitely transforming!

Thank you for posting this, since my GBS I have gotten scared or discouraged about what I have done. This really helps me to see everything from a new perspective.

Love it! NOW I know what phase of the transition I'm in. If you see a caterpillar with one tennis shoe on, one wing pokin out and flying in frantic circles, THATS ME! I'll get off this plateau someday bur for now, were doin circles wee!!

WoW Krista, I can't believe Karen has been hiding you for so long. Each day you become more of a true amazement to me. Your in sightfulness of what everyone is thinking is uncanny. I too have felt this way but not yet for my weight loss journey, When I found out about the cancer and I had to have 4 surgeries in 2006-2007 to get rid of the stuff, I felt for the past three years I had lost my MO-JO, but this post can be used for so many more things in our lives. I realize now I did not loose it , I was just looking for it in the wrong place. Today is my birthday and I so needed this. So as I wipe away my tears of joyous breakthrough

Thanks for posting this. My name is Krysla, which comes from chrysalis, the cocoon of the butterfly. All of my like I have felt like I was undergoing a fundamental process to be something amazing. My life is already wonderful, but I am looking forward to surgery so much to help with some health issues. Your post reaffirms my feelings and I will be a butterfly yet!
