Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

I also do my WII fit on occasion at home.. I do the aerobic exercises for 25 minutes but only on days when I don't go the fitness class...
During my melt-down phase, I tried to move and exercise throughout the day. I'd do "counter push-ups" every time I walked through the kitchen. While I waited for the water to boil for my tea, I'd do leg-lifts and squats. I'd take 15 minute walks several times a day. I kept hand-weights by the couch and used them during commercials.
I didn't start formal "going to the gym" -type exercises until I was over a year out and at my target weight. Then I kinda went exercise crazy....I was doing Zumba twice a week, Boxing Bootcamp and Amp'd Abs twice a week, Pilates once a week and Yoga once a week...And then I added personal training twice a week and began climbed a mountain once a week...oh, and a bootcamp once a week. That worked for awhile until I added running to the mix. I was totally overtraining and my knee started giving me problems. Yeah. Overtraining sucks.
Supposedly, optimal training is aerobic activity 3x a week and weight resistance training 2-3 times a week.

You really do need to do exercise when you have WLS I feel. It keeps the weight coming off I feel. I only had 1 or 2 stalls during my phase of loosing weight after my sleeve surgery on 6/11/12. Drinking 80 oz of water is very important and getting 80-100 grams of protein a day too. I feel this is why I didn't have alot of stalls.
Good luck!
