Thanks for asking! I'm doing great! I'm 2 1/2 years out from my RNY. I've gone from 300 lbs to 125 lbs (and maintained for a year and a half). I've gained more than I lost, though...I've gained self-respect, energy, and the ability to move freely about the world! I've learned to Zumba, ski, and take care of myself without eating myself into a coma. I no longer have sleep apnea, pitting edema, metabolic syndrome, or pain in my back. Ive learned to love exercise, relishing a good sweat and achy muscles!!
Three 1/2 weeks ago I had emergency surgery for intestinal issues related to GBS - all is fine now and I'm back to exercising.
Life is great and I get to live it!!

I was one of the lucky ones who had no problems whatsoever. Well, not if you count the times I ate too much too fast. I can say with confidence that I'm now cured of THAT!!
I count my successes daily! Keeping an attitude of gratitude keeps me true to my program. I've come off of three prescriptions and my cpap machine. It continues to amaze and delight me that I can do more and be more than I ever had been able to while I was in my fat suit. I'm still trying to get my head to catch up with my body, though. I still look at clothes when shopping that would be way too big for me. I still don't really know how much space I take up like when moving through a bunch of people. I guess that will come with time in my new body.
Glad your doing well! Looking forward to hearing all about your experiences as you get yourself on the loser's bench! We'll save you a seat :)
Blessings!

Will keep you in prayers as you start your journey!
I am so blessed for having had the GBS i have had no complications praise the Lord and i actually have increased my oxygen capacity. 2 1/2 years ago i was diagnosed with a Lung Disease non smoking and non alcohol related. I was on oxygen for 2 years before i was able to maintain it on my own.
My procedure was done for health reasons mostly to prolong having a lung transplant. As the weight comes off and i heal my body then hopefully the lungs will stay healthier.
Chocolate thank you for this great question and for all the love and support you offer to everyone. Your one Amazing person.

I am 6 months out and have lost 121 lbs! I feel amazing! I am still not the "perfect patient" when it comes to exercise due to my extreme fatigue I seem to fight with BUT with in the past few weeks I have done better. I am only "allowed" to walk or swim for exercise for now per my surgeon but I think I do pretty good considering I am still dropping weight. I have not always made perfect choices with food....even after surgery I have messed up a few times but I do not beat myself up for it. :)
I am going on vacation in 3 weeks and am excited to be skinnier for vacation! It's so exciting!!!
I had the Sleeve on June 5, 2012 and have been doing GREAT! I have had no complications or issues. Honestly, it's one of the best things I could have done. I am about 11 weeks out and have lost 42 lbs. and about 5 sizes in clothes -- definitely no complaints in this department. I believe this surgery healed about 90% of my Plantars Fasciitis (heel pain). Since the surgery, I can do a lot more on my feet -- I am not kidding you. My granddaughter and I dance with the Michael Jackson Wii, I ride my stationery bike, I walk and I've just started water aerobics. I am even wearing cute shoes and not those clunky Birkenstocks. I am testing the water by wearing Orthoheel shoes -- could never wear these before because of heel pain. This surgery is an excellent weight loss tool and a miracle all in one. My life and body is changing all around me. I am so happy right now and LIFE IS GOOD!
Thanks for listening....
