Okay here we go. I have been putting off going to buy a new bra because it has always been the most embarrassing part of shopping for as long as I can remember why? You guess it because of my breast size. Okay guys you may wanna skip the rest of this because it is truly a girly thing. if however you have some positive feedback by all means, jump in!!! Weight loss is weight loss and I am sure we all have some issues that we are dealing with with clothing, etc.

Okay prior to surgery I wore a 52DDD bra, yes enormous I know. Although I have lost over 100 pounds the one thing that has bugged me the most is the insensitive comments that people are still making about my breast, namely? What are you going to do about your boobs. They haven't decreased one bit in my opinion and obviously to anyone else either. I have noticed however that my long line bras are fitting rather loosely/ Not necessarily the cup but definitely there is some kind of change going on, so I finally broke down today and went to purchase a new bra.

I told the young man my situation, mainly i have lost a great deal of weight and needed to be resized. Here is the problem and I guess semi good news. I no longer wear a 52DDD BUT and noticed the capitalization a 44G. What the blazing saddles is that about. I lost something and gained more boobs. Somebody help me out cause I don't get it. I almost hit the floor. He said it was normal that when you loose weight, your cup size increases. Never heard of such a thing and besides how is that possible when just about everybody else is loosing their boobs but I am gaining them?

I need to know out side of breast reduction surgery which I am sure I will have to have at some point, what everyone is doing or has done to decrease their bust size. This has got me slightly discouraged, yet encouraged if that is at all possible.

Sorry guys I told you this was one for the ladies. LOL

I had a significant...and I mean significant...breast size reduction. I do a lot of weight training...not heavy weights but weight resistance...and I have focused on upper body. I think that maybe that has had something to do with it. My entire upper body is all muscle. Just a thought. I hope that I did not offend you when I messaged you about how you kept your chest...I was a little jealous that way...I apologize...I did not realize that it was a sensitive area for you. Please forgive me.

The cup sizes go along with the band sizes. If the band size goes down but you don't lose actual boob then the cup will increase. Its just how bras are made. So your boobs haven't gotten bigger your body has just gotten smaller.

Sarasota this has nothing to do with your comment sweety. That question is a part of my everyday existence before you asked. Some people are facetious with it but I know you meant me no harm. Today's events just didn't help. I seriously thought some where in the back of my mind that you loose weight, your breast do too and to date that just has not been my story although some of my friends do state that they are not as "out there' as they use to be. Either way I am becoming a little self-conscious about it. Please know, once again that you personally have not offended me in any way

Thanks Erin it sounds logical when you put it that way but the last thing I needed was for the cup to get any bigger if you can understand that.

well I certainly know how you feel as mine are 40G now. But I am hoping that they will go down a lot. Since I just had surgery 1 week ago I don't know yet. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Oh I have to reply to this one! Have you SEEN my photos? Do you feel sorry for my shoulders and upper back? I know I do. These girls had Better slim down with the rest of me!
It is great that you have gone down in sizes! for the band size!!! I Believe! the girls will follow sometime. Believe!

As your body reshapes, your bra size and style needs will change. There is nothing like a good fitting bra at any size. My girls are rather large as well. Don't get caught up on the size. Focus on the overall image. I'm up there in the mid alphabet myself! I would love to shop at VS someday but doubt I will due to my cup size.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in I thought I was in this alone. Glad to know I'm not but still very concerned. I guess it's just one of those things that only time will tell. Trying not to get so hung up on it, yet it's nearly impossible when it's the one concerned everybody has, as if they have to carry them around. I'm proud of my accomplishments so I refuse to let this put a damper on it. God bless

Well...I have lost my boobs...but not in a flattering way...mine went from "melons" to cucumbers!!! Lol...we're always gonna be frustrated with something...for me my waist is taking the longest to show change...but I am healthier now than 30 years ago...and that , my dear is the best!

I totally understand. But just try to remember with everything else. You are in such a better place than you were before. And just like people say size is just a number cup size is just a damn letter. Don't let it get you down.

I had the same experience this weekend!! I hate bra shopping but my bras were all too big and it was ridiculous! So I got resized and I went down 2 cups sizes and gained 1-2 cup sizes!! It's true that sometimes when your back size decreases you need to go up in the cup so that it fits right. It's weird but my guess is eventually your whole size will go down. Keep up the great work!!

I know how u feel. My breast size before my weight lost was 54ff which I can not buy in store had to specially order. I honestly though losing the pounds would shrink my breast. I measure everything and while my band size is down to a 38 my cup size is still the same. Its starting to look a little funny. I could never afford a reduction and I was blessed|cursed with my breast at the very early age of 8 by 11 I was the size I am now so I am used to it. I hope that you can love or large bust and not feel to self conscious. Don't feel discouraged if your breast size doesnt decrease your breast are not all fat in some of us it just doesn't go away.

My jealousy it overwhelming. I had a nice full C to begin with, not that you could really tell as I was also 338lb. Today 150lb lighter, Im lucky if I can fill a B. Not that Im complaining (well.... a little..). You'll end up where you're supposed to end up. Body/Figure wise I mean. Congrats on your loss!!!

Hi Tami. Unfortunately, it's really just genetics. I come from a mixed breast family. On my mother's side large, full breasts are commonon my father's side a B cup is the average. I take after my father's side. As I gained and gained I went from a 36B to a 48B. It was disappointing when my stomach grew larger than my breasts because the seat belt in the car would slide over my belly and choke menothing in the way to stop it. As I lose weight I anticipate only a small change in my breasts. I hope it helps to know there is the same problem on the other end of the size spectrum.
