Then at 18 I left home to go to college and, coming from a very strict home diet-wise, went mad eating just what I wanted when I wanted. I was 170 lbs by the time I left college at 22!
I continued the trend of gaining 10 lbs per year reaching 210 by age 26. OMG - that's 80 lbs over 8 years!
Then I began WeightWatchers and Slimming World and over a three years lost 50 lbs which I kept off for a couple of years for my wedding.
However, within 18 months of married life I had regained every one of those 50 lbs! 10 were back on by the end of the honeymoon!!!
At age 33 I had my twin boys and gave up work to care for them as one has severe special needs. Hence I reached 260 by 2008 when I had my surgery, almost aged 42!
OMG! This is like therapy - I've never seen it all written down like this. I had actually DOUBLED my weight from when I was 16!!!!
Thanks for the question. Hope I've not bored you all rigid;)

Everyone in my family was overweight. My mom,my aunts,my grandma, were always trying new diets. I ordered my 1st diet pills out of the back of a magazine when I was 11. I look back at pictures and I don't really look like the huge kids from maury(tv shows) but even as an adult I weighed more than I look, but when you are a kid, you don't understand that . I was 186 in 8th grade and was 264 when I got married at 19. I am smaller now than I was in high school at 192. To think that in another month or so I will weigh less than I did in 8th grade is crazy to me.
I refuse to let my kids grow up on a diet like I did. While I want them to be smart about their choices. I want them to love themselves and be confident, in a way that I still am struggling with myself. I have a goal size more that I have a goal weight, because I finally understand that some people just weigh more.
I guess you can say I'm a happy eater, and I'm happy a lot. Damn, I've never looked at it that way before. HUMMMMMMM
