I was an underweight child! A normal teen, actually did some modeling. After having my kids I never stopped growing!

I was about 150-160 in high school, I played sports and was very comfortable with my size, then college came, no sports, 20lb, then child one 190 then child two, 230 and it kept going up from there...I weigh less now than when I was in high school :)

I weighed 121 till I had my daughter and then I was up to 150. Then after having my first son I was 170. Then with the next son I gained 40 lbs nursing and again with the last son another 40 lbs nursing. I just kept putting the weight on. When I had surgery I weighed more than I did after last son. I now weigh less than I did after Joe was born!!!! YAY!!!!!!! Now to get under Jason's, then Joshua's and probably will not get under Jesica's. LOL I think 121 would be way to small for me now.

i thought I was very overweight as a child (My Mother always told me how FAT I was and that she could never buy me all the nice clothes she bought for herself) Got kinda heavy after each kid. Not until I was a grown woman and looked at some old photos that my Dad had did I realize I had NOT been a FAT child. Even my pics at 13 or 14 I had long slender legs and no bulges. Maybe I just heard it sooooo long I believed and lived up to that expectation.

OH That is so sad!!!! I don't understand why some mothers say things like that. They just don't realize how badly it effects their children's self esteem!!!!!!!

It looks like I am the first one to break this initial trend. I was the "chubby" kid in class as a child, as a teen, as a college student and as an adult. My mother was overweight until she developed health problems, and all three of my sisters are overweight also. The only thin one in the family was my father. I truly believe that it has something to do with genetics. One of my sisters did not grow up in our home and she has a weight problem too, even though the family that raised her were skinny as rails! Does this mean that it's not my fault? Not exactly, but I can't wait to see how much I can lose after surgery tomorrow, and neither can my sisters because I am the test and they are thinking about following me...

I was a skinny little kid till I had my tonsils out at 4 and gained from there. I was always the chubby kid. I was the only one of four children that grew into an overweight adult. My sister had a weight problem and in high school developed anorexia and bulimia (before they actually had names). I've tried to analize why I was heavy and could only come up with I love food. LOLOLOL

i was thin 120 -125 and also did modeling but started a bipolar medicine called zyprexa which one of the side effects is significant weight gain and gain 20 more for the 60 i gained and well here i am two weeks post op from wls

I have always been chubby also, both of my parents are big. I have 2 sisters and 3 brothers and it's kind of strange that all the girls are big and all the boys are skinny.

I was always chubby until I was about 13. I was taller and bigger than everyone after that but I don't think I was fat.

I really started gaining weight after high school and after I got married.

i've been chubby/fat my whole life. i remember that i went on my first diet when i was around 8.. my doctor told my mother i needed to do it- to switch to whole grain breads, and fat free products. since then, i've been on diets more often than not and i dieted my way up to 267 lbs.

I've always been fat....sneaking food every chance I got. My mom had me on diet pills when I was 12. I wore a size 13 then and got down to a 9. I've lost and gained more times than I care to remember. and like 3fold I dieted my way up to 350 !!!!

I remember when I was 8 years old, not being able to get on a pair of size 14 corduroys of my brothers...

I suppose I have always been fat.

I was thin until right after high school when I got married. I wore a size 7 wedding dress. Soon after I became a compulsive eater to cope with how miserable I was and gained 30 lbs in a year. I lost a jerk and 10 lbs in the divorce, but my weight continued up and up over time until the surgery. Now I finally feel I'm the one in control and not the eating disorder.
