I have added whole wheat bread to my diet. I really need the fiber. I was eating triscuits but found myself eating too many so I stay away. I stay away from all pasta. I don't likw whole wheat pasta because it's to heavy for my tummy. When you get to the point where you can have lettuce, try wrapping your tuna salad in a lettuce leaf. YUM! I love hummus and it is protein. Some will say it has too much fat, but to it's good fat. And a little hummus goes a long way.

I am just able to now try celery and cucumbers which I also like because being able to chew something crunchy is nice after liquid and then soft foods for so long.
I am also excited for spaghetti squash to be in season and plan to try some with meat sauce on top. I also tried thin zucchini slices as the noodles in a lasagna. It worked good as a alternative to the pasta, and sat well in my stomach.
I would love to hear others suggestions for alternatives Kim as well! Thanks for asking the question!
I did not really like the wheat pasta but I do like smart balance there is another that is healthier but I cant think of the name off the top of my head I think it is a multi grain though.
I often bypass bread though and put my lunch meat and such in salads or I will make a roll up with a leaf of romaine lettuce

Lettice leaf w/ tuna or chicken salad is yummy.
I get fresh baked turkey breast at my local deli and have them slice it thin. They I just roll it up w/ a piece of cheese and it's a quick lunch.
We've also done won ton wrappers w/ sandwich fillings. We bake and it's a nice treat now and then.
My hubby makes fresh hummus and we get black bean tortillas to go w/ it some time.
I think you sort of play around and fine what works for you.
