Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I do an hour on the treadmills at 2.5 mph and a 2.0 incline and do wieghts in the machines ok,
I try to increase my weights a few pounds a every time.
I'm always the most sore 2 days after exercise.
SgtSmith, the elliptical is actually pretty easy on the joints (much easier than running). Your feet stay on the peddles so there is no "impact." I have heard of some people experiencing hip issues, though.
Just a note...we get just as much benefit from four 15 minute exercise sessions throughout the day as we do from one 60 minute session.
