to get this off my chest ...
My absolute favorite question since having my GBS"
"DO YOU EAT?!?!"
Sweet Mary, Mother of God. If I had a dime for every person who has asked me that, I would be able to treat myself to a nice dinner (that would mostly go home with me and feed me for 3 days, but whatever, moving on.)
I swear, the NEXT time someone asks me that stupid question, I am going to pull out my little fork and spoon, dig thier eyeball out of their skull and munch it while they watch me with thier remaining eye. I've seen Man vs. Wild, I know how many vit-a-mins there are in an eyeball.
Or, maybe I will just start telling people that I no longer have need to eat, that part of having GBS is getting a special device implanted in you that allows you to get all your nourishment through a combined process of photosynthesis and osmosis. I can then further explain I will have to bleach my skin to prevent from turning too green, but its well worth it.
Or, I will just continue to respond, very patiently ... yes, I eat. Not as satisfying as my other imagined options, but I can just keep those in the back of my head...

What's worst is when they follow that by saying "oh no, I would not be able to do that, I love food too much" of when my husband says "that's Fu@ked up!" It is all about educating them, but that would be so exhausting, I just tell them, "no I don't" lol:)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
