Surgery today went well. Very little pain. Not using my PCA at all. The best part was no nausea since I begged the anes to throw all anti -nausea meds at me. Scop patch and decadron did the trick. Praying for a leak free gastrograffin study tomorrow. I would kill for a sf popsicle right now. Kim

Cant you have a sf popscicle i was allowed ice chips ten mins after i woke up. It took me alot longer than most to come together after surgery but ice chips were allowed. All surgeons are different. Congrats on your surgery, hope you have a speedy recovery.

Congrats! Know just how you feel about the popsickle. I'm sure everything will be just fine. You'll just love the stuff they make you drink before your test. LOL

Thanks all. Swallow study no leaks. Sipping and waking has begun after a rough night. No sleep due to a revolving door to my room.
Dang nursesbut I am one of them so I get it. Then I lost my IV. Always the easy way for me. LOL

Sounds like me, I seem to have the worst luck.. my IV coming out sounds just like what would happen lol. Congrats and I am happy you are doing well.
