I totally feel your anxiety my surgery is Wed july 21st and i am scared I havent slept well for a week and my Doc gave me ambien and thats not really working I just cant wait to get it done and wake up I am sure your surgery will go well good luck sending positive thoughts your way

Mine is tuesday also. Guess we will be going doing this together.

I put on a brave face, but I was scared out of my mind!! Once I got in my hospital room, changed into the gown, and lay on the bed I started freaking out. The nurse gave me something in my IV to calm me down. After that, it was smooth sailing. :) You'll be just fine!! It's absolutely normal to be nervous! I'm 5 1/2 weeks out and 32 pounds smaller! It's definitely worth it!!

I vascillated back and forth. At the hospital, I just went with the flow--too late to get off the train. And, it all worked out fine.

Hi, OMG I had NO idea someone else felt the same way as I do. Im not really scared of anything drastic happening but of what to expect. I will be happy to lend an "ear" whenever u need it.

I had my surgery on 6/28. On the day of surgery I became deathly afraid that I wouldn't survive the surgery. On the way to the hospital I held my rosary and asked God to be with me and just thought of a positive outcome. Keep positive thoughts...and think of all the things you want to do a year from now that you have never been able to do. For me it is playing in the park with my daughter without thinking I would break the slide :) My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. This is a huge decision we have all made to get healthy and live our lives to the fullest. Take care.

Sweetie.. I know exactly how you feel. I go through periods of.. whoa.. whats going on?? what am I doing? LOl Then I remember.. NO MORE DIABETES,,, NO MORE KNEE PAIN.. NO MORE SLEEP APNEA!!!!! Just to say the least. Then I remember!!! I am about to welcome a NEW ME.. NEW attitude!!! All 100% .. no limitations any more...

Then I want the day to pass faster so my new birth day will get here..

I have had back surgery 16 years ago and I think I was more nervous this time!! Surgery is always scary but you will be fine. If you can't relax ask them to give you something after they get your iv line in...go pee first!! Good luck and you will do awesome!!
