*****Another day the casino didn't get your money!!!*****
We all just really suck at gambling. Don't know when to stop, when to leave,we get zoned, we lose everything. All those times I'd tell myself "This time it will be different. This time I'll leave when I'm ahead! This time I won't go to the ATM. This time will be DIFFERENT!"
Never happened. Not once. Zip nada zilch.
That's when I started thinking about going to the casino like being in a car without brakes. No matter how determined I am to make the car stop, it doesn't have any damn brakes, and it's just going to careen down a cliff. I have no brakes when I go to the casino, and no amount of *determination* is going to change that. So once I accepted that I will *always* lose when I go, no matter how determined I am to change the outcome, then it was pretty easy to stop going.
dewit-your avatar is awesome, but I envision you as a penguin!!!! When you were talking about taking something out of the freezer and popping it on the grill, all I could see was a penguin with a floppy frozen fish!!!

I have found the longer I haven't gambled, the less I think about it...it has become more out of mind, its been since April for me and I have found so many better things to do with my time and money. The ONE other major change since I have stopped is that I'm no longer depressed. Depression was definitely triggered by all my turmoil at gambling, I had enough and what a difference!

Been having strong urge to go today. The last 3 days have had strong urges. Had worked alot over the last two weeks , which kept me busy and distracted from the urge. But the last 3 days I have had more time on my hands. Just for today I will not gamble and waste the money I have and the effort I have put in over the last 15 days to stay away from the machines. Praying that we are all strong through these urges. Blessings Kim

15 days is awesome KIM just think about how awful you will feel if you give in. That feeling is a lot worse than the urge is strong. We are all going forward today which means for us doing anything but gambling!
Do anything and do it with a big smile because you know that not going is the truely the big win!

I made it - didn't do it. I think what didn't help is a friend is now in Vegas this weekend and sent me a picture of the Michael Jackson machine where I have been lucky in the past - hah! She is a good friend, BUT not ready to stop gambling, obviously.

glad ya got threw the day yesterday. so how was the grill out? got a couple pork loin i'm tossing on the grill today. nothing like a barbecue in my book.

You are the grillinest gal I ever seen dewit. Love you for always wetting my whistle for food instead of the casino. I recall one time I ate one of those awful hotdogs at the casino and got very sick. And I tipped for it how stupid! I recall how the old lady smirked at me when she gave it to me too. Should have reported it.

lol lol lol hell guess the only thing i ever tipped for was a beer when it came to the casino. lol yeah they cant mess that one up when it only comes in bottles. boy guess i found out too never do a mix drink there. holly crap, talk about a power packed booze punch. lol lol lol hell think i had 3 of the things once and i was plastered.

yeah guess i got up kinda late today and just getting in that first cup of coffee. feeling kinda blah i guess right now but i know gambling aint on the agenda. still got just change on me and no intentions of making a bank run. shit down to a 100 maybe till next pay day and the land of bells and whistles wont be getting it.cause i be the dingaling if they do. lol guess i could use some dye on this head to take tthe gray out of it and out of them day maybe. gonna give me boy a call and see how hes doing. guess the food is much better where he is and he gets daily snacks served so the need for canteen money is less. sent him out a few magzines he wanted, well kinda wanted. wanted some xxl magzines and all sold out so asked what the next best thing be. their rap magzines so she pointed out a few and their on their way. cost like 6.50 just to mail the things so hope he likes what he's getting any way. lol guess its nice just to be able to talk to him daily and yeah go figure i just switched me phone plan to less minutes to lighten up the bill. lol was paying like a 107 for the month for this cell phone and barely used any minutes. shit talk a good 20 to 40 minutes a day with him now and guess ill have to start calling after 7 since nights and weekends are free. yup went from 1,200 minutes to 450 a month and yeah the savings on it be less than 20 a month. lol lol lol guess my contract is up in oct. and may shop arround for something else. i know theres plans out there for 70 a month that has unlimited everything so be kinda stupid to stick with what i got. guess im kinda babbling on thinking this is the up and down thread so yeah ill shut up. lol lol lol
