Was supposed to do football Sunday at a friends house this weekend. When I go there I always drink and gamble. I have decided not to go, be productive during the day and just watch the team I follow without betting on it.

Though it is difficult, you need to take time away from these friends who lead you to drink, which in turn leads you to gamble. It may sound impossible at this point, because pleasurable habits are really hard to break.
But you need to change your behavior. Einstein said there is no change if there is no movement. Tell yourself you won't go for two weeks. Tell your friends you are having health problems or there is an issue you need to deal with.
During those two weekends, don't drink, and don't gamble. Find other ways to fill your time. Invite non-drinking friends over to have dinner, watch a movie, or play a non-betting game. Go for a run. Try an exercise class.
Learning to readjust your habits is crucial. I miss some of the people I gambled with, honestly, but it is worth it to be sober.
