I blew it on what could have been day 23. I am convinced now that there is no hope.  I hope, no support, I give up

Just because you went back does not mean you have to give up. All it means is that you have to decide what you want for your life going forward. Today is the first day of the rest of your life and only you can determine the outcome by your Future actions or lack of them. I decided over 2 years ago what I wanted and God willing everyday I fight for my life. Life is good, if you just let it happen. Sure,there are rough spots, but my future no longer depends on the turn of a card or who fumbles the football. If you want the misery and loneliness that accompanies gambling you can have it, but I would rather live life for better or worse for at least it is real and I can feel it, not numbed by a addiction I am a slave to.

Every relapse is an opportunity to adjust your plan. Your plan failed, look at what the trigger was and make a new plan that includes a plan to do something different next time you confront that trigger. It almost never works to just white knuckle through quitting with no other tools. You must do something different than you were doing in order to change. If nothing changes, nothing changes. If you give up, there indeed, is no hope. It is in continuing to fight that you find new ways and new paths. Hang in there.

it most certainly doesnt happen (recovery) without relapse, that's the name of the game, cant give up, just as long as you keep trying

i fall all the time, every 30 days, or 60 or 90 or i go 6 mths, but i never stop trying

NEVER...then...then the addiction wins, and that's the only winning happening....not on my watch....hang in there

Addiction is like climbing a mountain: the four phases are Commitment, Crash, Submission, and Acceptance/Success.

I think many of us were in Commitment/Crash for a long time, back and forth, back and forth, until we finally were ready to be submit and give gambling up completely.

You can do it.

I am hoping you are back and working toward getting away from this nasty addiction. Most all of us blew it many times before getting some time built up. It does not make you a failure, or less of a person, it makes you human. There truly is no hope if you give up, the only way out is through. Hugs and prayers, thinking about you this morning and sending the light your way.
