i know how money has no value, and it is beginning to again for me.
im starting to remember times when i thought 20 bucks was expensive, and wouldnt have dared spend it in a casino.
with me, didnt matter if i took access out of my hands, i could find a way. i was a dealer in a casino, i knew lots of tricks. i just had to learn, the hard way, to say NO. no matter what. cause family and friends werent there to help me. i tried letting my ex fiancee take over, but he left and left me with nothing. so im on my own with this beast. all i can say is, i remember when there wasnt a day to go by that i couldnt gamble. i couldnt stop. now there is time between slips.... and i can see progress, and each time i win a little more.
im just glad i can say NO now. not like before.
Thanks so much for sharing that. You've given me hope. I went through a similar experience this weekend and the feeling of not giving in is wonderful. I guess one of the tricks is to just get through a few hours or minutes at a time. thanks again.... keep hanging in!
