Today is pay day
AND
my husband put 500 dollars into the house account.
Today will be my first day having easy access to cash.
I explained to my husband what was going on but he doesn't fully understand the extremes and feels I should at least try to see if I can rely on my self to manage my few bills and house spending. He also feels because I have not gambled a hundred dollars that is sitting in the safe I should be fine but pay day is part of the ritual for me, I think.
I have taken the advice here and not really had access to money and for 12 days it's been pretty easy to not gamble and just spend the time healing and thinking about why I did. It has been very good for me.
If you have a moment to send a little prayer my way I would be grateful.
I will sign in this evening at the end of my day and report on my day 12.
I am hopeful but nervous and already know it will have tough moments.

I really have no choice but to work hard. I was in such a bad place and I don't want to end up homeless or ruin my family or feel suicidal or end up in ruin which is where I know this would end up if I don't stop.
Everyone here has been so supportive. I could not have been so inspired if I did not have the folks here to share with.

Your husband sounds very supportive--that's terrific! Maybe it's a good thing he's giving you leeway with the money...I know it's not easy but maybe he's giving you the chance to prove it to yourself....and you did it :o)
I would wait on the steakhouse too....smart move on your part. I know my favorite casino had the best chicken wings...there was a spicy coating, not breading, on them & they were huge & made fresh...but, I can live without the wings...not worth the gambling temptation!
