Especially bashing a presidential candidate that many like. Hopefully we will stick to football.

I forgot to mention how much I loathe Roger Goodell!! I think that man does not care about the NFL, or the integrity of the game. All he does is look out for Roger Goodell. This man makes over 44 MILLION DOLLARS a year! Last year I had a petition through change.org to fire Roger Goodell. It never picked up traction, but I have known for a long time that this man is no Pete Rozelle. I read that article yesterday on Yahoo. Not sure where that writer got his information. Sounded like a Goodell lover to me. As of yesterday, Brady and the NFLPA have filed in Federal Court. They are asking for a decision before Game 1 on Sept 10th. The sooner the better. Jerry Jones, Cowboys owner, came out blasting Belichick and Brady and standing up for Goodell. This should not surprise anyone. Cowboys cannot beat the Patriots with Brady playing. They play the Patriots on Game 4 of the suspension in Week 5. They are losers for sure. "Let's beat the Patriots without Brady to show the league how great the Cowboys are!"

If, IF Brady does sit out the first 5 weeks (4 games and a bye week), Jimmy will lead the team to a 4-0 record. He is a good good QB and with a healthy running game, receiving game, kicking game, the Steelers and others, including the Cowgirls, better bring their A game. Even with a 3-1 record, with Brady back, .... well, you know what will happen Bob. I would not be surprised if you don't see teams like the Cowgirls and Steelers trying to injure Jimmy and put him out. That would hurt.

Atticus.... the integrity of the NFL was completely destroyed by the Commissioners office with Bountygate when they suspended Peyton, the coach, for one year and gave out heavy suspensions to half the team, only to reduce most of those to 1/2 to no games. It is OK for players to put a price on players heads and try to injure them to the point where they cannot play anymore but just make a suggestion about the Patriots doing something wrong..... POW. Evey team spies on other teams.....happens all the time. Patriots get caught and you'd think they were the only team to do it. Half the teams either deflate balls or over inflate them. Nothing is said, nothing is done about it.... but the Ravens who blew a lead and a game against New England cry like little babies and tell the Colts to deflate a ball and blame it on Brady. So the league crashes down on them. Integrity is something most teams do not have.

But like them or hate them, you got to admit two things about the Patriots and Tom Brady...... New England will go down in NFL history as the greatest team ever and Brady as the greatest QB ever. He already has 4 rings, tied with Bradshaw. He will get ring #5 and maybe #6 before retiring. New England will win #6 and #7 and more. Just live with that and continue hating them.

Happy... Happy... Happy... I know how you feel about this. Lawdie Mercy I do. I don't think there is ANYONE here who would or could argue with the fact the Patriots are a great team and Brady is a great, future Hall of Famer Quarterback. They have the rings to prove it. I don't want to argue with you, but I think you have tunnel vision when it comes to anything and all things Patriots/Brady. If you want to believe that Brady did NOTHING WRONG at all and is completely innocent, and that Goddell and the entire NFL is out to get them , then by golly keep on believing it. If some of us think that Brady HAS done wrong, then we should get to believe it too and it doesn't mean that we are all Brady/Patriots haters. :P~

I'm afraid I am going to have to contradict you, Happy. While Tom Terrific is a fantastic QB, he is no Joe Montana, who IS the greatest Super Bowl Quarterback of all time. You left him off that list with Tom Brady and Terry Bradshaw and he also has 4 rings. He also has the all-time highest quarterback rating of 127.8. (Super Bowls) And he also holds Super Bowl career records for most passes without an interception (122 in 4 games).
I believe you are correct that other teams may use less than orthodox means (spying) when preparing for opponents, but the Pats were just unlucky in that they got caught....Point is -they got caught. I also can't believe that you think that Yahoo article was written by a Goodell lover! It is totally sticking up tor the Patriots. I do believe your view is skewed, due to those Patriot-colored glasses you're wearing.
I have no problem with fans who love and stick up for their teams,and am by no means a Patriots hater. but sometimes you just gotta say -where there's smoke, there's fire.
I think the single most thing to me would be to go a complete season UNDEFEATED and then lose to a clearly inferior team (sorry Giants fans). Ouch! That's gotta hurt.
Going back to the point that you brought up. New England is NOT the greatest team ever, that distinction still belongs to the San Francisco 49ers, with Joe Montana. A man who never lost a Super Bowl. I will reiterate my earlier statement. I do not believe the Patriots will be in Super Bowl 50.
I do believe in being a loyal fan. Like LMT sticks by her Titans (though they drive her to fits!) and myself, GramyBear and Tinderhart being die hard 49er Faithful and all the others here that stick by their teams through thick and thin, but facts are facts.

I am still a brady lover through and through and Tom terrific woud have been much better if he had better receivers through the years and brady would have had another super bowl ring had welker not dropped that pass which was right on target in the previous patriot super bowl.

I saw a recent interview with the head of the nflpa and the more I listen to him the more I thought that this airflate saga was just a ploy to bring down the pats because the other clubs cannot stand the fact that the pats are so good! They also strongly thing think they will win in court.
