When I was a kid my father would buy a bag of doughnuts and leave them on the counter till they went mouldy. He knew I had a weakness for them If I touched them hewould yell at me and let me know how worthless I was. That's why I hate father figures.

thats being very cruel, any child would want to eat food that had been left out and would wonder why not allowed to eat it, it must have given him some satisfaction to treat you like that, do you have a particular relationship with that type of food now?

I still have a weakness for doughnuts but I do not buy them or eat them. Pastry of all types are trigger foods for me and I have to stay away from them. But as a little kid, yes it was very cruel. Every time I walked through the kitchen I had to look at them. It is helping me to focus my anger at him for the other things he did. Thank you for affirming my feelings.

Dang that was mean. My dad at times would eat sweets in front of us and not allow us to have any. I have always had a sweet tooth but wasn't till I was over weight I realized it.
