It's the end of week 2 of my new training plan, starting week 3. I weighed and measured yesterday. Lost 2 more inches and 4 pounds, an inch the week before. That helps keep me motivated. My diet hasn't exactly been on track but I'm more motivated now than ever because I found out last week that I'm at high risk for developing type 2 diabetes and that my body doesn't tolerate high fat diet. I already don't eat high fat because I could tell it didn't make me feel well, but now I've done genetic testing and it's confirmed. I've really got to watch my sugar this holiday season. All the holidays coming up including my birthday have loads of sugar. Going to have to watch my portions or ask for something else.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I have noticed recently that my body can't handle the abuse like it use to when I was younger. I need to think about the consequences of my actions before I shove that peanut butter cup in my mouth or ice cream or any other high sugar or high fat foods.
You are taking the weight and the inches off fast! I am amazed. You are young and that helps.
I remember when I was running in my 20's and 30's, I had it all figured out. If I ran 4 miles a day, I could eat as much as I wanted to, and not gain any weight. If I ran 6 miles a day, I could eat as much as I wanted to and lose weight. It's not like that now. I have to watch what I eat just to stay healthy.
Keep up the good work...I enjoy reading about your accomplishments in the gym and with dieting!
My body type is a mesomorph so weight loss is usually easy if I try. It's just staying consistent that is hard. If i skip just a couple workouts and eat crap, it shows.
This year I plan to fill half my plate with turkey and deviled eggs. Only a couple small spoonfuls (tablespoon not ladle!) Of anything unhealthy. The rest of my plate will be veggies, I'm making green beans and frozen sweet corn from my garden. I will only have one roll and no second helpings!
Then I will try to go for a walk since we eat early. Later in afternoon it will be time for dessert. Again I will only have a couple spoonfuls and I will have it with coffee to help curb appetite so I don't eat too much.
I love deviled eggs!
I love your eating plan for the holidays. It sounds like you will be having a little bit of almost everything. That's a good idea! That way, you won't have any resentments for missing out on something. Good thinking.. Keep up the good work!.
