Don't you feel great after a good workout like that? To me, there are few things better in life then working up a good sweat.
If you do airobic exercising like the bike or treadmill etc, all you need to do is keep your heart beating just a littlle higher then normal for 45 minutes,....that will release the endorphins in your brain. That was the best "High" I ever had....even better then taking narcotics and it lasted up to 14 hours!
I always tried to shoot for a heart rate of 120 but in the beginning., or on days when I was feeling a little tired, I couldn't get it that high, but the trick is to always go at a pace you think you can maintain for the duration. Even if you can't do 45 minutes. That's ok. Start low and work your way up.
I was a long distance runner so I seldom did very much strength training but when I did, I alternated by doing strength every other day.
I'm so proud of you! Keep it up because the key to having a healthy mind is in having a healthy body.
God Bless
