My normal Monday kickboxing class is cancelled this month. I get a good leg workout from it.
So last night I did a leg workout on the cable tower to stay in shape. I attached the stirrups to my feet. Hooked the inner ring to the cable and did side lunges, step back then do sidekicks. Switched to the ring at top of my foot and did mule kicks. Did 4 sets of 12 reps.
Then I tried to do pistol squats. Did not work so I left the cable tower to the jacked old dude who was waiting to use it.
I did a little cardio boost by holding a med ball and doing step ups with knee tucks on a bosu.
Then I did 4 sets of 12 on the hamstring and quad extension machines.
Oh yeah, and as a warm-up I did dumbbell walking lunges and diamond squats. 20 reps on both.
I did some walking crescent kicks with my stretches at the end. Whew!

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I remember when I was married and my wife decided she was going to join the gym and lose some weight so I joined with her and I must say, for 6 months we made diet and exercise, a very high priority and when she reached her goals with regard to the weight she want to be at, she looked awesome and she had these glamour photos taken at a local studio that made her look even better, and I took some of the wallet ones to work and showed them to all of the guys.... I was quite proud of her, to say the least. `
Life got busy and we no longer had the time to travel to the gym which was about 45 minutes away and because of that, the pounds slowly came back unfortunately but I will never forget that particular time in my life when my wife looked like a centerfold and even though I gloated over her looks, it never really mattered because I would have loved her no matter what she looked like but it made me happy to see her taking charge of her life and taking care of her body and mind with healthy foods and exercise.
God Bless
I lost a lot of weight when I was 20 and kept it off until about she 26. Around age 24, dating became a bigger priority than exercise. I sadly only have a few pics of me from that time, one in a bikini. I looked damn good, tho not centerfold material.
I realize now that I am a different person with different physique and health goals.
When I met my fiance, he was severely underweight and almost died. I worked so hard to get him to eat, I ended up eating more, and not healthy.
Now that I don't have to worry about him, I can focus on eating less and exercising more. Tho as of yet we don't share a passion for healthy cooking and exercise, I hope one day we can.
