Hi, I just paid my credit card off today. I had always paid it off each month, but then had a dental emergency, and had to put 600. on it. It was either that or empty my savings. I chose to pay in installments , and it seemed to work.
I'm in the same place now; I will have a 400.dollar charge next month for my ticket to FL. I'm trying to save money to leave my husband, and if I paid the C card in installments, I could still save a bit (in my savings account).
The interest rate is very low because it's a card for disabled.
Anyway, does anyone have an opinion ; pay the card out of savings, or pay in installments ( probably 3) and continue to put a bit of money away in savings for "that day"? Thanks - Holly

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

In any other circumstance, I would say pay off the card since it's a low balance.
2new, Mark and I have NO joint accounts of any kind. He's insisted on separate savings, checking , and "his" retirement account. So it's up to me to pay whatever I owe while I'm in the marriage.
Now that I have a broken ankle ( I have 3 weeks for it to mend, or else surgery ) , I am not buying a ticket . That will give me a couple of months ( at least ) to save, although prices go up in FL in the spring.
I suppose at this point I should be thankful that Mark "plays the system " and earns only enough that keeps me on QMB. That will help with the ankle. In the meanwhile, I won't buy a ticket to anywhere, and perhaps mom will have to come north!
Remember, "ice and elevate " :) Holly
