Sometimes small communities have their own small newspapers. There is one call kidconnection or something like that. It is a small booklet with ads for kid services. You can also try drs offices. Church news bullitins laundry mats college bullitin boards. A lot of local restaurants let people post buisness cards. Books stores.

Oh and get a website/facebook. I read google has free hosting for small buisness for up to 1 yr

I am having issues with my promotion of a Poetry Publication I wish to create. I have offered a self-publication from lulu.com for sale in my local stores and have earned over 100. (however, I'm still operating at a loss)

However, I know a contact who provided me with the number, address and email of a Publishing House in Ballycastle (in the North Coast of Ireland) and I emailed them a Word Document containing the work I had published on lulu.com plus latest works of mine. All I need now is for it to be professionally proofread.

The point I'm trying to make is to get out there and network. I would also add Drugstores to the list of possible places for advertising mentioned before. In Northern Ireland most young mums check out flyers from the Chemist as that is where most local classifieds are.
