goal: Pay off one debt in 3 months
-call creditor and make payment arrangements
-not accrue any more debt
-have money automatically deducted from my account every month
-start with one of my smaller bills first.
-than move on to my larger ones.
-say no to any thing that is not a "neccesaty" until I pay off my bill.
-will save money 1% each payday of my paycheck until my debt is paid off and with savings I will treat my self and my family to something within that amount of money.
I hope this works. I don't know what else to do. I want to get out of debt. and I seem to be getting into more debt.

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

Good luck.
- no more bounced checks
- cash only, no new credit...
It were these two early goals that helped me get out of debt.
When I started paying off old bills... I didn't care at all about my credit score, I figured I would take care of that later. I wanted out of debt.
I did that one bill at a time. I had roughly 12 months bills that needed to be paid, plus the rent, lights, phone, and internet.... that just cut it to close for comfort.
I worked on one bill at a time... the smaller ones first, I didn't care about interest rates or anything else... it was just the focus of getting out of debt.
Paying one bill at a time, meant I was getting phone calls and nasty letters, but I stayed with my plan. When I paid all 12 bills every month, it was right around $200. So I posted all of that $200 just towards that one bill.
It was stressful and I did go to claims court a couple of times but I never changed my plan... one bill at a time. When I went to court, that bill became a top priority after whatever other bill I was working on.
I never had my wages garnished, which I was kind of hoping for with the claims court proceedings. Only one creditor can collect on your wages at a time... so I was hoping to have two or three companies garnishing my wages, that way two would be on hold and would have to wait.
Anyway, I believe that I would have never got out of debt if I used any credit... it was cash only and nothing else.
Yes, my credit scores took a massive hit but looking back at it, I'm OK with that because I have learned to live entirely on cash and nothing else. So in the long run it was worth the hit...
