It is 3:40 am and I can not sleep. I have my new PCP appt tomorrow and my anxiety is out of control and the hamsters in my head are busy and have multiplied. I just took a Xanax and hoping it will help. I have been so traumatized by various Drs in the last 16 years that I have trouble with this new Dr thing. I have major trust issues with Drs. How dare my great and trusting Dr leave her practice and take a different job and make me start over again - just kidding. Slow deep breathes in and out right? I have also been clenching my teeth a lot the last 4 days. UGH.

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Sorry, I had to write it like that. :-) I'm sorry to hear that you are having sleeping problems. It seems that a lot of us have had hamster races running through our heads lately. I have clenched my teeth so much in recent years, mostly during what passes as sleep, that I'm starting to cause some damage...lots of chips and a few breaks. My dentist is trying to fit me with a mouth guard but I'm not sure that I could sleep at all then, besides, my nature is to fight pretty much anything they suggest. :-) I hope that you find some peace there...get some rest. Like you said, breathe in and out. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

I used to have a great mouth guard at night, but after a few years it broke. I would love another, but they are pretty pricey and my insurance now won't cover it. They help a lot. I used to be a big grinder, but just this morning noticed I am more of a clencher. I say get the mouth guard if you can. BTW, the over the counter ones I have tried suck!
Also, my former Drs office didnt send my records like they told me they did, so there was nothing there for the new Dr. So, I was being asked a lot of questions about my history and had to give answers off the top of my head - my very tired head/brain. That sucked.
Also, I meant I was clenching my teeth involuntarily when awake from anxiety and stress. I do have a mouth guard for at night and I do need to start wearing it again , the erosion of my teeth on the left side from grinding while asleep is getting worse. I already sleep with a CPAP and splints on my arms , really how much extra things can a person sleep with , esp. when sleep is so hard to come by. UGH
Oh also, I have been changing my eating habits , eating healthier and less. I started writing down everything I eat and counting calories, carbs, cholesterol, saturated fat and total fat since Feb 7 and I have lost 5.5 lbs according to new Drs fancy dancy scale. When I started counting these things and writing them down , I realized geez I cant believe I dont weigh a lot more as much carbs and fat I was eating.
