I also think that I can put up with the shoulder pain better than some of the others. Maybe that's because my shoulder has been hurting for 14 years and I have learned to block it out some. However, when other areas are hurting I cannot seem to block them out. I think when my legs, arms, feet, and hands hurt it is the worst because no matter what I try to do I am moving them and I am constantly reminded that they hurt.
I find the fog stays at bay as long as I keep my brain active by reading and doing things to keep my mind moving. Although, I do have to write everything down. I keep a grocery list, a shopping list for other things, and a list of things I need to do or places I need to go. I also have a bad habit of writing a phone number or note down on a scrap piece of paper and then I always seem to forget to put it where it belongs and then I find myself searching and searching for it. Okay, so maybe the fog is worse than I thought, but I am coping by writing it all down!
