When I woke up this morning my leg was killing me!I took some Tylenol and that helped but the pain was really bad. I take cymbalta and Zanaflex too. I took the Cymbalta this morning but not the Zanaflex. I take Cymbalta for Depression but it also helps with pain. Every morning when I wake up I thank God for another day of life. What do you do for pain?

Twenty-five years since 9/11 attacks on the US changed things (or not).Current NYC Mayor Mamdani has released a shi*-ton of files about the air quality as it was known to be by the Giuliani administration 20-plus years ago. Turns out, yes, they knew it was that toxic. And, since people of all faiths died that day, let's not go into that, please. They were firefighters, bankers, cops, cooks,...

I was just going to post on this as I had a horrible horrible pain day on Saturday. Looking back I can see it was a combination of exhaustion, major thunderstorms (always get me bad due to PsA) and eating gluten and dairy which are no bueno for arthritis in particular. They are both inflammatory so much so, that i believe it caused that reaction. I've been eating clean for the most part avoiding those two and the other foods that cause pain like nightshades. There are real studies on this guys.
Anyway, what I do, is pack it in with round the clock anti inflammatory (either celebrex, which my doc has put to the side for now), so using advil which i have to be very careful to eat with, tylenol, cymbalta, gabapentin every 4 hours max dose, 1/2 zanaflex and 1 at bedtime or i'll be a zombie. Before, I was on a long acting chronic strong medicine called Belbuca. I am in between insurances and do not plan to go back on it, but need a breakthrough pain medication on hand. I am considering Tramadol. Not nearly strong enough for my 4 accident body plus everything else, but ya know. Take what I can get.
Also, I ice/heat round the clock on anything hurting or stiff. Epsom salt or warm/hot shower/bath as can tolerate it, really loosens the stiffness. Walking a short distance helps a lot too, believe it or not.
Hope that helps. Feel better, hugs, JP
