Hot hot hot! Humid! No rain! HOW? Everywhere else around us, two inches. Us? Pfft. Argh!
Meanwhile:
Tricks that nurses knwo but don't tell:
1. Got issues with your excretions? Keep from having a sore butt one of two ways or both: Desitin baby rash cream with zinc oxide and/or mylanta liquid dabbed on TP when you do a final "wipe" during diasrrhea and similar. These both ease pain and irritation of the excrement excretion hole.
2. Get the potassium salt substitute for table salt and, if you're prone to dehydration or electrolyte issues, add a pinch of that per 2 quarts of liquid with your other ingredients: (1 quart OJ, 1 water, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking soda is currently favored). Boom.
3. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever douche without a prescription. I've never asked why; I can guess.
4. Drink water before sexual activity, and urinate directly after. This reduces UTIs. If you keep getting them, have your partner checked. Or, as my mother said, "MEN! BLAME THE MEN!" (This is true. I've seen it. Man had jock itch, that didn't itch; woman kept getting issues. He got treated, boom, HER issues cleared up. Gentlemen, tend thyselves, please?)
5. If you must scratch, put vaseline on the spot. Your scratching is harmless but you satisfy the urge to scratch.
6. Yes, oatmeal works if you have irritated skin from exposure to plants. Make some instant, add enough cold water to make it safe to place on skin, and lather it on. As it dries, the oat fibers anbsorb oils and similar. Also good on itchy patches. Mom said "why waste good oatmeal in a tub?" If you have a coffee or seed grinder? Run yoru oats through that first. It's essentially oat "flour" and while I'm brave enough to rinse off in hose water, not everyone is. Snd some vinegar down the drain of your tub or shower to keep the oats from clogging things. Yes, I just asid "powder your oats and save your money". We had to put ours through a standard hand-grinding food mill when I was little. My little cuisinart thing is MUCH easier! Zip zip!
7. Want to keep away fleas and ticks? Catnip. They hate the stuff, almsot as much as peppermint, lemongrass and/or lavender. OPeppermint and lemongrass are by far the most effective, btw. I have a spray bottle of 1/2 water 1/2 rubbing alcohol and a tbsp of lemongrass oil that I use exterior on windows and doors. STRONG smell but holy moly do bugs avoid! Also, Asian ladybugs may drop dead on contact. Yeesh.
8. DO NOT SQUEEZE icky things. Your fingertipos will adfd infecting agents.

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
We still need rain but it is cooler here today. Upper 70's but the humidity has creeped up since this morning.
I woke up around 4AM. Could not get back to sleep. I'm beyond fed up with it. Makes working even more difficult.
Looking for a hand orthopedist now. The OA in my hands is getting worse. I just want someone to take a look see and give me options if there are any. My right index finger is particularly bad. And, the ganglion cyst that I had on my right ring finger is gone. But, it takes awhile for the gel contents to absorb and is causing a lot of nerve pain in 2 fingers. That's my dominant hand. Having lighting bolt sensations is not recommended.
Leo - Thank you for your handy hints today!
Miki - I would be asking your manager to tell Jackie to knock it off. No videos at full volume etc. She's in an office not at home. I would be clenching my teeth too. That's ridiculous. I hope that the rain lets up when it is time to head for home. Be safe!
That's it for me. Waves!
Fan, ah, ouch. HUGS
